My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them and they follow me,

Jesus answered, "The first one is, 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord, and you must love the Lord your God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind, and your whole strength.' And this is the second, 'You must love your neighbor as you do yourself.' No other command is greater than these."

And one of their number, an expert in the law, to tempt Him, asked, "Teacher, what sort of command is greatest in the law?" And He answered him, "'You must love the Lord your God with your whole heart, your whole soul, and your whole mind.'read more.
This is the greatest command, and is first in importance. The second is like it: 'You must love your neighbor as you do yourself.' The essence of the whole law and the prophets is packed into these two commands."

"If you really love me, you will keep my commands. For the commandments, "You must not commit adultery; you must not murder; you must not steal; you must not have an evil desire," and any other commandment if there is any, are summed up in this command, "You must love your neighbor as you do yourself." Love never does a wrong to one's neighbor; so love is the perfect satisfaction of the law.

For the whole law is summed up in one saying, "You must love your neighbor as you do yourself."

Yes, we know that all things go on working together for the good of those who keep on loving God, who are called in accordance with God's purpose. So, my dearly loved friends, as you have always been obedient, so now with reverence and awe keep on working clear down to the finishing point of your salvation not only as though I were with you but much more because I am away; for it is God Himself who is at work in you to help you desire it as well as do it.

Though all these people by their faith won God's approval, yet none of them received what He had promised, for God had provided something still better for us, that they, apart from us might not attain perfection.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send to represent me, will teach you everything Himself, and cause you to remember everything that I have told you.

Blessed is she who has believed, for what is promised to her by the Lord will be fulfilled."

But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into the whole truth, for He will not speak on His own authority but will tell what is told Him, and will announce to you the things that are to come.

For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham put his faith in God, and it was credited to him as right standing with God."

because we know that a man does not come into right standing with God by doing what the law commands, but by simple trust in Christ, we too have trusted in Christ Jesus, in order to come into right standing with God by simple trust in Christ and not by doing what the law commands, because by doing what the law commands no man can come into right standing with God.
