And it came to pass, as He was reclining at table in the house, behold, many tax-collectors and sinners, having come, were reclining with Jesus and His disciples. And the Pharisees, seeing it, said to His disciples, Why is your Teacher eating with the tax-collectors and sinners?" And Jesus, hearing it, said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are ill.

And, an opportune day having come, when Herod, on his birthday, made a supper for his nobles and for the chief captains, and the chief men of Galilee;

And Levi made a great reception for Him in his house; and there was a great multitude of tax-collectors and of others who were reclining at table with them.

And He saith to them, "Draw out now, and bear to the ruler of the feast." And they bore it.

So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with pieces from the five barley loaves, which remained over to those who had eaten.

And they constrained Him, saying, "Abide with us; because it is toward evening, and the day has already declined." And He went in to abide with them.

They, therefore, made Him a supper there; and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with Him.
