And as He was sitting at table in the house of Matthew, behold, several publicans and notorious sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why doth your master eat with publicans and sinners? But Jesus hearing them, said unto them, They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill: go therefore and learn what that means,

But a convenient day happening, when Herod on his birth-night gave a supper to his lords, and chief officers, and persons of distinction in Galilee; and the daughter of Herodias coming in,

And Levi made Him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great number of publicans, and others at table with them.

And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and carry it to the master of the feast. And they carried it to him.

They therefore gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley-loaves, which remained after they had eaten.

And they pressed Him, saying, Stay with us, for it is towards evening, and the day is far spent. And He went in to tarry with them.

Therefore they made Him a supper there, and Martha waited at table, but Lazarus was one of them that sat down with Him.
