When little is forgiven, little love is shown. He said to her: Your sins are forgiven! Those who ate with him said within themselves: Who is this who even forgives sins?
Shortly after that he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees. They were there to eat on the Sabbath. They watched him.
They persuaded him not to go saying, Abide with us. It is nearly evening and the day is almost gone. He stayed with them.

Put on (live like) (clothe yourself with) the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make provision for the desires of the flesh.
