Jesus saith unto them, Come, and dine. And none of the disciples presumed to ask Him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

He said also to him that had invited Him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, do not invite thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kindred, nor thy rich neighbors; least they invite thee again, and so a return be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind; and thou shalt be happy; because they have not wherewith to requite thee: for a recompense shall be given thee at the resurrection of the just.

On the morrow, while they were on their journey, and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the top of the house to pray, about the sixth hour. And he was very hungry, and desired something to eat: but while they were getting it ready, he fell into a trance; and saw heaven opened,

But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him, as soon as he comes in from the field, Come hither and sit down at table? But will he not rather say to him, Get ready my supper, and gird thyself, and wait upon me, till I have done, and afterwards thou shalt eat and drink.

And as He was sitting at table in the house of Matthew, behold, several publicans and notorious sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why doth your master eat with publicans and sinners? But Jesus hearing them, said unto them, They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill: go therefore and learn what that means,read more.
"I desire mercy rather than sacrifice:" for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

And as He sat at table in his house, many publicans and sinners also sat down with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed Him. And when He was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He was at table, there came a woman with an alabaster-box of ointment of spikenard, very valuable; and she brake the box and poured it on his head.

And one of the pharisees asked Him to eat with him: and He went into the pharisee's house, and sat down.

Jesus however, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, and whom He raised from the dead. Therefore they made Him a supper there, and Martha waited at table, but Lazarus was one of them that sat down with Him.

But when it was morning, Jesus stood on the shore: though the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Young men, have ye any thing to eat? They answered Him, No. And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye will find some. So they cast it, and they were not able to draw it up by reason of the multitude of fishes.read more.
Whereupon that disciple whom Jesus loved, saith to Peter, "It is the Lord." Then Simon Peter perceiving that it was the Lord, girded on his coat, (for he was stript,) and threw himself into the sea; and the other disciples came in the boat dragging the net of fishes; for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits. And as soon as they were come to land, they saw a fire laid, and fish upon it, and bread. And Jesus saith unto them, Bring some of the fish, which ye have now caught. Then Simon Peter went aboard, and drew the net to land, full of large fishes, an hundred fifty-three: and though there were so many, the net was not broken. Jesus saith unto them, Come, and dine. and sent his servants to call those that were invited to the wedding: and they would not come.

Thou gavest me not the respect of a kiss; but this woman, ever since she came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

and turning to the woman, He said to Simon, Dost thou see this woman? I came into thine house, and thou gavest me no water for my feet; but she has bathed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

brought an alabaster-box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind Him, weeping, and washed his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man that had not put on a wedding-garment, and saith to him,

and love the uppermost places at feasts,

But his elder son was out in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing:
