10 Bible Verses about Double Portions

He should acknowledge the firstborn son of the unloved wife. And give him a double portion of all that he has. He is the beginning of his strength. The right of the firstborn belongs to him.

This is what the Lord Jehovah says: These are the borders of the land that is to be divided among the twelve tribes of Israel. Joseph gets two parts.

Instead of your shame there will be a double portion. Instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land. Everlasting joy will be theirs.

Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. I declare today: I shall repay you a double portion.
