And you shall be betrayed both by parents, and brothers, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

And if you greet your brethren only, what do you more than others? do not even the tax collectors so?
And another also said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, who are at home at my house.
The righteous chooses his friends carefully: but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Take you heed everyone of his neighbor, and trust you not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanders.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
Trust not in a friend, put not confidence in a companion: keep the doors of your mouth from her that lies in your bosom.
Return to your own house, and show what great things God has done unto you. And he went his way, and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done unto him.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
