Then he began to curse and to swear, saying, I do not know the man. And immediately a cock crew.

For many deceivers went out into the world, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ coming in the flesh; this is the deceiver and the antichrist.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search carefully for the child; and when ye have found him, bring me word, that I also may go and do him homage.

Beloved, now are we children of God, and it hath not yet been manifested what we shall be. We know that, when it shall be manifested, we shall be like him; because we shall see him as he is.

Be not deceived; "evil communications corrupt good manners."

Let no one deceive you with vain words; for because of these things the wrath of God cometh upon the sons of disobedience.

Now we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our being assembled together unto him, that ye be not easily shaken in mind, nor troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, as if the day of the Lord were close at hand. For if a man thinketh himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let each one prove his own work, and then will he have his ground for boasting in himself alone, and not in comparison with another;

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if any one is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass; for he beholds himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. read more.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty, and remains there, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in his deed. If any one thinks that he is religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this mans religion is vain.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
