When they saw him they worshipped him, though some were in doubt.

but although they heard he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.

They too went and reported it to the rest, but they would not believe them either.

But this story of the women seemed in their opinion to be nonsense; they would not believe them.

Even yet they could not believe it for sheer joy; they were lost in wonder. So he said to them, "Have you any food here?"

Christ answered them, "The term of years for Satan's power has now expired, but other terrors are at hand. I was delivered to death on behalf of sinners, that they might return to the truth and sin no more, that they might inherit that glory of righteousness which is spiritual and imperishable in heaven."]
