And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him. For you are but a youth, and he is a man of war from his youth. My brothers, take the prophets who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering ill, and of patience. Behold, we count blessed those who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is full of pity and of tender mercy.

Brothers, be imitators together of me, and mark those who walk this way, for you have us for a pattern.

For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
