We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are honored, but we are despised.
For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble call you; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may bring to shame the wise; and the weak things of the world has God chosen, that he may put to shame the strong; and the ignoble things of the world, and the things that are despised, has God chosen, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought things that are;read more.

But will you know, vain man, that faith without works is dead?
And the Lord said to him: Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and the plate; but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness. Senseless men, did not he who made the outside, make the inside also?
