For we are unto God the sweet savor of Christ, both among them that are saved, and also among them which perish:

Be ye followers of God as dear children, and walk in love even as Christ loved us, and gave himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice of a sweet savour to God.

The heart is glad of a sweet ointment and savour, but a stomach that can give good counsel, rejoiceth a man's neighbour.

Wherefore bring ye me incense from Sheba, and sweet smelling Calamus from far countries? Your burnt offerings displease me, and I rejoice not in your sacrifices.

O how fair are thy breasts, my sister, my spouse? Thy breasts are more pleasant than wine, and the smell of thine ointments passeth all spices. Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb; yea, milk and honey is under thy tongue, and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of frankincense. The fruits that sprout in thee are like a very Paradise of pomegranates with sweet fruits: as Cypress, Nardus, Saffron, Calamus, and all the trees of Lebanon: Myrrh, Aloes, and all the best spices.
