But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born from a woman, born under law,
And he made from one blood every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having determined prescribed times, and the limits of their occupancy,
And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him. And his righteousness, it upheld him.
Thou are the God who does wonders. Thou have made known thy strength among the peoples.
And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved. But because of the chosen those days will be shortened.
And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They shall feed [their flocks] upon it. In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lay down in the evening. For LORD their God will visit them, and bring back their captivity.

And Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he did not prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was strained as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let thee go unless thou bless me. And he said to him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel, for thou have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Why is it that thou ask for my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for, I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. And the sun rose upon him as he passed over Penuel [Peniel], and he limped upon his thigh.
