Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,

If you love me, keep my commandments.

One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him."

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his love.

This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. One who says, "I know him," and doesn't keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn't in him. But whoever keeps his word, God's love has most certainly been perfected in him. This is how we know that we are in him:read more.
