You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you: for this thing is too heavy for you; you are not able to perform it yourself alone.
And they judged the people at all times: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.
You shall not respect persons in judgment; but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
If there arise a matter too hard for you in judgment, between bloodsheds, between legal rights, and between assaults, being matters of controversy within your gates: then shall you arise, and get you up into the place which the LORD your God shall choose;

Thus says the LORD of hosts; If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, would it also be marvelous in my eyes? says the LORD of hosts.
And with these sayings scarcely restrained they the people, that they would not do sacrifice unto them.
2 Corinthians 12:10

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
The way of the slothful man is as a hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made a highway.
