Jesus answered and said to them, Ye err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Deity is like to gold or silver or stone, graven by the art and device of man. The times indeed of ignorance God overlooked; but now commandeth all men every where to repent;

having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God on account of the ignorance that is in them, on account of the hardness of their hearts;

not in the passion of lust, even as the gentiles who know not God;

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance;

But all these things will they do to you on account of my name, because they know not him that sent me.

And these things will they do, because they neither know the Father nor me.
