As they did not seek the favour of God, by worshipping him, God gave them over to a depraved sense, to act unworthy of human nature;

take then that worthless fellow, turn him out in the dark, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

take care not to deprive yourselves of the divine favour: and that no poisonous root spring up, and spread a general infection among you. let there be no licentious or profane person, such as Esau, "who sold his birth-right, for a single mess." for you know that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: not being able to make Isaac to retract, though he importun'd him with tears.

If any man see his brother commit a sin, which is not a mortal sin, let him pray to God, who will grant him life, for such as do not commit a mortal sin. there is a sin unto death: in which case I do not enjoin any prayer to be made.

he that is unjust, let him be unjust still: he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
