10 Bible Verses about Kings, How They Should Act

He should keep it with him. He should read from it all the days of his life. In this way he will learn to respect Jehovah his God by carefully observing all the words of this Law and these statutes.

Listen you kings, be wise (show discernment) and be warned you rulers of the earth. Serve Jehovah with deep respect and rejoice with trembling. Kings will be your guardians. Their princesses will be your nurses. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth. They will lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am Jehovah. Those who hopefully wait for me will not be put to shame.
