11 Bible Verses about lent

If you only lend to those from whom you hope to get something, what credit is that to you? Even sinful men lend to one another, so as to get a fair return.

Who has first given to him and has to be repaid?

Now mere food will not bring us any nearer to God; if we abstain we do not lose anything, and if we eat we do not gain anything.
