And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold.

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ:

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love.

But concerning brotherly love you need not that I write unto you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another. And indeed you do it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that you increase more and more;
