9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold.

Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love.

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Where is then the blessedness you spoke of? for I bear you witness, that, if it had been possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would that you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had shown them.
