Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own, zealous of good works.

And this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near. Murmur not one against another, brethren, lest you be judged: behold, the judge stands before the door.

But the end of all things is at hand: be therefore sober minded, and watch unto prayer.

For our citizenship is in heaven; from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them who are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also who sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them who are asleep.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
