For, as the woman is of the man, so also is the man through the woman; but all things are of God.

for man was also not created on account of the woman, but woman on account of the man;

Nevertheless, neither is woman apart from man, nor man apart from woman, in the Lord.

for you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband: this you have said truly."

But I wish you to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the wife is the husband, and the head of Christ is God.

and the two shall become one flesh; so that they are no more two, but one flesh.

for man is not from woman, but woman from man;

but he that is married is anxious for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

but, because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

For a man, indeed, ought not to veil his head; being God's image and glory; but the woman is man's glory;

Let the husband render to the wife her due; and, in like manner, the wife to the husband.

For Adam first was formed, then Eve.

But from the beginning of the creation, 'Male and female made He them.'

And to the married I give command??ot I, but the Lord??hat the wife depart not from her husband;

Nevertheless, do ye also, severally, each one, so love his own wife, as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband.

For what do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or what do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus saith to her, "Well did you say, 'I have no husband;'

And He, answering, said, "Did you not read that He Who made them from the beginning made them 'male and female,'

And, if any wife has an unbelieving husband, and he is pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave her husband.

and has become divided. And the unmarried woman and the virgin is anxious for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but she that is married is anxious for the things of the world, that she may please her husband.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the assembly, and delivered Himself up for it,

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her."

and, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their desires one for another; men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error, which was due.

The disciples say to Him, "If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not expedient to marry."

But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.
