And to the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
But he that is married, is anxious for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
Let the husband render to the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife to the husband.
But if thou marry, thou hast not sinned: and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless, such will have trouble in the flesh; but I spare you.
Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Now concerning the things of which ye wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
When a man hath newly taken a wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife which he hath taken.
But this I say, brethren, The time is short. It remaineth, that both they that have wives, be as though they had none;
And when she hath departed from his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
For the woman who hath a husband, is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband is dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
His disciples say to him, If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband is dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
But if she shall depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
Jesus answered and said to them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
And the woman who hath a husband that believeth not, and if he is pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not a wedding-garment:
For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Nevertheless, to avoid lewdness, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
If he shall take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage shall he not diminish.
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, invite to the marriage.
There were therefore seven brothers: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh.
They shall not take a wife that is a lewd woman, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy to his God.
But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Savior of the body.
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
Ask me never so much dower and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say to me: but give me the damsel for a wife.
Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give to his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take to thy son.
And the damsel's father shall say to the elders, I gave my daughter to this man for a wife, and he hateth her,
Now there were with us seven brothers: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased; and having no issue, left his wife to his brother.
Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell in it: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes of it.
Art thou bound to a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
If a man shall be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou remove evil from Israel.
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness besides the other in her life-time.
And if a man shall entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
And Jesus answering, said to them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
For how knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels who are in heaven.
They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
If a man shall find a damsel that is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons nor daughters in this place.
