He goeth after her quickly, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart striketh through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Now therefore hearken to me, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thy heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yes, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit, and of power:

The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.

By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: they have a heart exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that had quite escaped from them who live in error.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said to Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare to us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take what we possess? is it not so?

And the lords of the Philistines came to her, and said to her, Entice him, and see in what his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

And if a man shall entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.

A violent man enticeth his neighbor, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
