so do whatever they tell you, obey them, but do not do as they do. They talk but they do not act.

Well, it is the same with yourselves. Unless your tongue utters language that is readily understood, how can people make out what you say? You will be pouring words into the empty air!
Let no one deceive you with specious arguments; these are the vices that bring down God's anger on the sons of disobedience.
For there are plenty of insubordinate creatures who impose on people with their empty arguments, particularly those who have come over from Judaism;
He who says he is 'in the light' and hates his brother, is in darkness still.
