But Jesus, becoming aware of this, said, "You of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves about having no bread? Do you still not understand? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up? Nor the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?read more.
Why is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.

But they did not understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not understand the things that were said.
