And Jesus knowing their thoughts said to them, O ye of little faith, why do ye argue among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Do ye not yet understand, nor remember the five loaves divided among five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? nor the seven loaves among four thousand, and how many baskets-full ye took away?read more.
How is it then that ye do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread, when I bid you to beware of the leaven of the pharisees and of the sadducees?

But they knew not his meaning, and were afraid to ask Him.

But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, so that they perceived it not, and they were afraid to ask Him concerning it.

But they understood none of these things; and this matter was hid from them, so that they knew not the things which were spoken.

Now his disciples did not understand these things at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written concerning Him, and that they had done thus unto Him.

For they did not before understand the scripture, that He must rise from the dead.

and regardeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and snatcheth away that which was sown in his heart: this is he who received the seed as by the way-side.

as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things: in which are some things hard to be understood, which the illiterate and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

This parable Jesus spake unto them; but they did not understand what He said to them.

And why do ye not understand my language, but because ye cannot bear my doctrine?
