And Man said, This time it is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh: this shall be called Woman, because this was taken out of a man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
Do ye not know that he that is joined to the harlot is one body? for the two, he says, shall be one flesh.
So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies: he that loves his own wife loves himself. For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:

The wife has not authority over her own body, but the husband: in like manner also the husband has not authority over his own body, but the wife.
And thou shalt not lie with mankind as one lieth with a woman: it is an abomination.
Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak as to Christ, and as to the assembly.
