Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment from the Lord: but I give my judgment, as one who hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun a year ago, not only to do, but also to do it willingly.

And there was much murmuring among the multitude concerning him: for some said, He is a good man; others said, Nay; but he seduceth the people. However, no man spake openly of him, for fear of the Jews.

And let not the husband put away his wife. To the rest speak I, not the Lord. If any brother hath an unbelieving wife, and she consent to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

But there were false prophets also among the people, as there shall likewise be false teachers among you, who will privily bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
