and says, 'Cornelius, your prayer was heard, and your alms were remembered before God. Send, therefore, to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter; the same is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.' At once, therefore, I sent to you; and you did well, in coming. Now, therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things that have been commanded you by the Lord." And, after some days, Paul said to Barnabas, "Turning about, let us visit the brethren in every city, in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing." Philippians 2:19-22

But I am hoping in the Lord Jesus shortly to send Timothy to you, that I also may be cheerful, when having known the things concerning you. For I have no one like-minded, who, indeed, will sincerely care for your interests; for all are seeking their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.read more.

Romans 9:6-24

But it is not as though the word of God has failed: for they are not all Israel, who are of Israel; neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children; but, "In Isaac shall your seed be called." That is, the children of the flesh are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.read more.
For the word of the promise is this: "At this season I will come, and Sarah shall have a son." And not only so; but Rebecca also having conceived by one, even by our father Isaac (for, the children being not yet born, nor having done anything good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him Who calleth), it was said to her, "The elder shall serve the younger." Even as it has been written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." What, then, shall we say? Is there unrighteousness with God? It could not be! For He saith to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomsoever I have mercy; and I will have compassion on whomsoever I have compassion." So, then, it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God Who hath mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose did I raise you up, that I might show forth My power in you, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth." So, then, He hath mercy on whom He willeth, and whom He willeth He hardeneth. You will say to me, then, "Why doth He still find fault? for who has withstood His will?" Nay but, O man, who are you that reply against God ? Shall the thing formed say to Him Who formed it, "Why didst Thou make me thus?" Or has not the potter a right over the clay, out of the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? And what if God, willing to show forth His wrath and to make known His power, endured with much long-suffering vessels of wrath fitted for destruction; and that He might make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, even us, whom He also called, not from Jews only, but also from gentiles?

do ye not make a distinction among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? Hearken, my beloved brethren, did not God choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love Him? But ye dishonored the poor man! Do not the rich oppress you, and do they not drag you before the judgment-seats? Do they not blaspheme the worthy name by which ye were called? If, however, ye fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," ye do well; but, if ye show respect to persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
