they prepared the present for Joseph's coming at noon, for they heard that they should eat bread there.

And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us." And the disciples set out and went to the city and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it." They said to him, "Where will you have us prepare it?" He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he entersread more.

And when evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

It was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning.

Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.

So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there.

Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover. It was about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, "Behold your King!"

The next day, that is, after the day of Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate

Will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink'?

Again he sent other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.'

And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance

Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy.

And at the time for the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.'
