So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it." They said to him, "Where will you have us prepare it?" He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he entersread more.

Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.

Again he sent other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.'
And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance
Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy.
And at the time for the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.'
