And a certain priest happened to go down that way, and seeing him, passed on on the opposite side; and in like manner also a Levite, being at the spot, came and looked at him and passed on on the opposite side.
Now a summary of the things of which we are speaking is, We have such a one high priest who has sat down on the right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens; minister of the holy places and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord has pitched, and not man.
Having therefore a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession. Let us approach therefore with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for seasonable help.
