And the multitudes said, "This is the Prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."
And Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own kindred, and in his own house."
And Jesus went forth, and His disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And, on the way, He asked His disciples, saying to them, "Who do men say that I am?" And they told Him, saying, 'John the Immerser;' and others, 'Elijah;' but others, 'One of the prophets.'"
And fear seized on all; and they were glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet was raised up among us," and "God did visit His people."
And He said to them, "What words are these which ye are exchanging one with another, as ye walk?" And they stood still, with sad faces. And one of them, Cleopas by name, said to Him, "Art Thou only a Stranger in Jerusalem, and knowest not the things that came to pass there in these days?" And He said to them, "What things?" And they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a Prophet, mighty in deed and word, before God and all the people:
The woman says to Him, "Sir, I perceive that Thou art a Prophet.
And God, indeed, set some in the assembly: first, apostles; second, prophets; third, teachers; after that, miracles; then, gifts of healings, helps, governments, various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
And, having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us; whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;
and to another, workings of mighty deeds; and to another, prophecy; and to another, discerning of spirits; to another, various kinds of tongues; and to another, interpretation of tongues.
And He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
If I speak with tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. And, if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all the mysteries and all knowledge; and, if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing,
What is it, then, brethren? When ye come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edification.
For I say, through the grace that was given to me, to every one among you, not to think of himself more highly than he night to think, but so to think as to think soberly, according as God divided to each one a measure of faith. For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office; so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.read more.

But he that prophesies speaks to men to edification and exhortation and comfort. He that speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the assembly.
