Who consoleth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to console those who are in any tribulation, through the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.

But, when you are doing alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
that your alms may be in secret; and your Father, Who seeth in secret, will recompense you.
Now there was in Joppa a certain disciple, Tabitha by name, (which being translated means Dorcas): this woman was full of good works and alms which she was accustomed to do.

So, then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, but especially to those of the household of the faith.

Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands that which is good, that he may have to impart to him that has need.
And let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary wants, that they may not be unfruitful.
and they were selling their possessions and goods, and were distributing them to all, according as any one had need.
that they do good, that they be rich in good works, free to impart, liberal;
and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
for the poor ye always have with you; and whensoever ye will, ye can do them good; but Me ye have not always.
doing nothing through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind, each esteeming others better than himself;
Because the ministry of this service not only fully supplies the deficiencies of the saints, but abounds also through many thanksgivings to God;
for in that He Himself hath suffered, being tempted, He is able to succor those who are tempted.
