as ye know how we dealt with each one of you, as a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging you, and testifying, that ye should walk worthily of God, Who is calling you into His own Kingdom and glory.

And, having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us; whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith; or ministry, let us labor in the ministry; or he that teaches, in teaching; or he that exhorts, in his exhortation; he that imparts, let him do it with liberality; he that presides, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
So also ye, since ye are eager for spiritual gifts, seek that ye may abound in them with a view to the edification of the assembly.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts, to God.
Wherefore, exhort one another, and build up one another, as also ye do.
preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.
holding fast the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the healthful doctrine, and to convict those who contradict.
but exhort one another daily, so long as it is called "To-day," lest anyone of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin;
not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as is the custom of some, but exhorting, and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.

But take heed, lest this liberty of yours become a stumbling-block to the weak. For, if anyone sees you, who have knowledge, reclining at table in an idol's temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat the idol-sacrifices?
