And when he was in private, the twelve, and some of his disciples asked him the meaning of the parable.
When he withdrew from the people into the house, his disciples ask'd him the meaning of that maxim.
then came the disciples to Jesus in private, and said, why could not we cast him out?
now when Jesus was retired to his own house, his disciples asked him in private, why could not we cast this spirit out?

and as they pressed him to answer, he rais'd himself, and said to them, he that is without sin among you, let him be the first that throws a stone at her.
now Jesus perceiving that they had a mind to ask him, said to them, are you sollicitous about what I said, "within a little while ye shall not see me: but within a little while ye shall see me again?"
Being therefore in his presence, they asked him, saying, Lord, is this the time when you will restore again the kingdom to Israel?
