And they brought him also infants, that he should touch them; and the disciples seeing it reproved them. But Jesus calling them, said, Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. And, fathers, provoke not your children, but bring them up in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.

And he must also have a good name from those without, that he may not fall into reproach and a snare of the devil. So that he who resists the power resists the ordinance of God; and those who resist shall receive judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Wherefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only on account of punishment, but also on account of conscience. And we beseech you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you,

Obey your guides and be in subjection; for they watch for your souls as having to give an account, that they may do this with joy and not with grief; for this is unprofitable for you.

Rebuke not an aged man, but entreat him as a father, the younger men as brothers, the aged women as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all purity.
