Avenge not yourselves, my beloved; but rather give place to the wrath of others: for it is written, "Vengeance belongeth to me, I will recompence, saith the Lord."

For we know who hath said, "To me belongeth vengeance, I will recompense, saith the Lord:" and again, "The Lord will judge his people."

Then said Jesus to him, Put up thy sword into it's place; for they that take the sword shall perish by the sword:

Be not deceived, God is not to be mocked: for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. He then, who soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he, that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

for he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou dost evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is also the minister of God, as an avenger to execute his wrath upon the malefactor.

or to governors as persons sent by him for the punishment of evil-doers, and the praise of them that do well.

Ye have heard, that it has been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: but I say unto you, Set not yourselves against him that injures you, but if any one smite thee on thy right cheek, rather turn to him the other also:

seeing it is a righteous thing with God to render affliction to those that afflict you; and to you, who are in trouble, rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:read more.
who shall be punished with everlasting destruction, by the presence of the Lord and by his glorious power: in that day, when He shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe; because our testimony among you was believed.

And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every one according to their works.

Wonder not at this; for the time is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth, they that have done good to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil to the resurrection of damnation.

But by thy hardness and impenitence of heart thou art treasuring up to thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgement of God, who will render to every one according to his works: to them, who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, and honor, and immortality, eternal life:read more.
but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. Tribulation and anguish shall be upon every soul of man that worketh evil, both of the Jew, and of the Gentile: but glory, and honor, and peace to every one that worketh good, both to the Jew, and to the Greek: for there is no respect of persons with God.

Now these things were examples for us, that we might not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. And be ye not idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, "The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play." Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted Him, and were destroyed by serpents: nor murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel, to the blood of Zacharias the son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I tell you, all these things shall come upon this generation.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan so filled thine heart, that thou shouldst lie to the holy Ghost, and keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, did it not remain thy own? and when sold, was it not in thy own power? what is the meaning that thou hast taken this into thine heart? Thou hast not lyed to men, but to God. And Ananias at the hearing of these words fell down and expired: and great fear came on all that heard these things.

for he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgement against himself, not distinguishing the Lord's body. For this many among you are weak and infirm, and several are fallen asleep.

and the men likewise, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust to one another, men with men committing shame, and receiving in themselves the recompence of their error which they deserved.

But wicked men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
