By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffic thou have increased thy riches. And thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches.

And Ephraim said, Surely I have become rich. I have found wealth for myself. In all my labors they shall find no iniquity in me that is sin.

and when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou have is multiplied, then thy heart be lifted up, and thou forget LORD thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage,

Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full, and deny [thee], and say, Who is LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and use the name of my God profanely.

Ye have lived in luxury on the earth, and were self-indulgent. Ye have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
