And when the days of purification were fulfilled according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord: (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be holy to the Lord) And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the Law of the Lord, A pair of turtle-doves, or two young pigeons.

And there came to him a leper beseeching him and kneeling down to him and saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with tender compassion, putting forth his hand, touched him, and saith to him, I will; be thou clean. And when he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was cleansed.read more.
And having straitly charged him, he forthwith sent him away, And saith to him, See thou say nothing to any man; but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

But that we write to them, to abstain from things offered to idols and fornication, and things strangled and blood.

But the Pharisees seeing it said to him, Behold thy disciples do what it is not lawful to do on the sabbath.

And the Pharisees said to him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath that which is not lawful?

And certain of the Pharisees said to them, Why do ye what it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day?

Circumcision indeed profiteth, if thou keepest the law; but if thou art a transgressor of the law, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.

And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatever entereth into the mouth, goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the vault? But those things which proceed out of the mouth, come out of the heart, and they defile the man.read more.
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings. These are the things which defile a man; but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

And he saith to them, Are even ye so without understanding? Do ye not perceive, That whatsoever entereth into a man from without, cannot defile him, Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth into the vault, purging all meats. And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.read more.
For from within, out of the heart of man proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, envy, evil speaking, pride, foolishness. All these evils come from within, and defile the man.

Wo to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish; but within they are full of rapine and intemperance.

For he is not a Jew, who is one in outward shew, neither is that circumcision which is apparent in the flesh. But he is a Jew, who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God.

But meat commendeth us not to God; for neither if we eat, are we the better, nor if we eat not, are we the worse.

but the body is of Christ.

And he said to them, The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Moreover the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

By whom also ye are circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ:

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually, make the comers thereunto perfect. Otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered? Because the worshipers, having been once purged, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices, there is a commemoration of sins every year.

Only with meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed till the time of reformation.

Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth into the vault, purging all meats.

On the morrow, as they journeyed and drew nigh to the city, Peter went up on the house-top, to pray, about the sixth hour. But now we are freed from the law, that whereby we were held being dead, so that we serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

I know and am assured by the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: but to him that accounteth any thing to be unclean, it is unclean.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision is any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

having broken down the middle wall of partition, Having abolished by his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments, through his decrees, that he might make the two one new man in himself, so making peace:

And you who were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses, Having blotted out by his decrees the hand-writing against us, which was contrary to us; and having nailed it to his cross, he took it out of the way. And having spoiled the principalities and powers, he exposed them openly, triumphing over them in him.read more.
Let none therefore judge you in meat, or drink, or in respect of a feast-day, or of the new-moon, or of sabbath-days: Which are shadow of things to come;
