10 Bible Verses about Robes

one court-day, Herod array'd in his robes of state, and seated upon the throne, made a publick oration:

and they put on him a purple cloth, and set a wreath of thorns upon his head for a crown;

and having stripp'd him, they put on him a scarlet robe.

and the soldiers having made a crown of thorns, they put it on his head, and threw a purple robe about him.

in the sequel of the discourse, he said to them, beware of the Scribes, who affect to walk about in their long robes, to be saluted in publick places,
