On saying this He spit on the ground and made clay with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes,

and they will make sport of Him, and spit on Him, and flog Him, and kill Him, but three days after He will rise again."

For He will be turned over to the heathen and sport made of Him, He will be insulted and spit upon,

After that they spit in His face and hit Him with their fists, and others boxed His ears,

And they spit on Him, and took the stick and kept hitting Him on the head.

And some of them started to spit on Him and to blindfold Him and to hit Him with their fists, and say to Him, "Now play the prophet!" Even the attendants took charge of Him with slaps at Him.

And they kept hitting Him on the head with a stick, and kept spitting on Him, and on bending knees they kept doing Him homage.

So He took him off from the crowd by himself and put His fingers in his ears and touched his tongue with saliva.

He took him by the hand and led him outside the village, then spit in his eyes, laid His hands upon him, and asked him, "Do you see anything?"
