Even if you were to soar high like an eagle, even if you were to make your nest among the stars, I can bring you down even from there!" says the Lord.
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
They said to him, "Permit one of us to sit at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory."
I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

He has judged it thoroughly, as its sinfulness deserves. I have thrown it out. Foreigners from the most terrifying nations have cut it down and left it to lie there on the mountains. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, and as a result he takes his seat in God's temple, displaying himself as God.
