Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God as God, declaring himself that he is God.

And on a set day, Herod arrayed in royal apparel, and sitting on his throne, made an oration to them. And the people shouted, It is the voice of God, and not of a man. And immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory; and being eaten by worms, he expired.

Whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be humbled, and he that shall humble himself, shall be exalted.
