And there was a man by the name of Simon who formerly practised magic in that city, and astonished the nation of Samaria, saying that he was some great person, to whom all from the least to the greatest attended, saying, This is the power of God which is called great. But Saul, [called] also Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looking steadily at him said, O full of all deceit and all craft, son of a devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
