For in truth they were assembled together in this city, against thy holy Child Jesus, whom thou didst anoint; both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, to do so many things as thy hand and thy counsel did foreordain to come to pass. And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to thy servants with all boldness to speak thy word, while, reaching forth thy hand unto healings, both miracles and wonders are wrought through the name of thy holy child Jesus. And they praying, the place in which they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
