Then said Pilate unto them, Ye have a guard, go and make it as secure as ye think fit. So they went and made the sepulchre secure, putting a seal upon the stone, after placing the guard.
And, lo! there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
And said among themselves, Who will roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
And there was near the spot were he was crucified a garden and in the garden a new tomb, wherein no person had ever yet been laid.
Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye resemble tombs whitewashed, which outwardly indeed appear specious, but within are full of dead men's bones, and all manner of impurity. And just so, ye without indeed appear to men righteous, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Wo unto you, Pharisees, for ye love the first seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the places of public concourse. Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves concealed, which men, while walking over them, see not.
