Take care, brethren, lest there be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.
And he said to them, "O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
Later he appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
But when some were stubborn and disbelieved, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them, and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.

Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them."
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
The ones along the path are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved.
How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
