And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If you had a faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this sycamore tree, Be taken up by the roots and planted in the sea, and it would obey you. But which of you having a servant plowing, or keeping sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, Come immediately and sit down?read more.
but will he not say to him, Prepare something that I may take supper, and gird yourself and wait on me till I eat and drink, and after that do you eat and drink? Does he thank the servant because he did the things commanded him? So also you, when you have done all things commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; what we owed the doing of; we have done.

He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;

Then he said to his servants, The wedding indeed is ready, but the invited were not worthy.

And both Paul and Barnabas speaking boldly said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you; but since you cast it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the gentiles.

I indeed baptize you with water to a change of mind; but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not fit to bear; he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and fire;

And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not fit that you should come under my roof; but only say the word and my servant will be cured.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? or thirsty, and give you drink?

And Simon Peter seeing it fell on his knees to Jesus, saying, Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.

Peter said to him, You shall never by any means wash my feet. He answered him, Unless I wash you you have no part with me.

For I am the least of the apostles, and am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God;
